Magnetic Proximity Sensors
The magneto-resistive element is a highly specialized component engineered from a unique material that is exclusively responsive to magnetic fields, such as those generated by a permanent magnet. When exposed to a magnetic field, this element alters its electrical resistance, resulting in a digital signal at the output. This capability is particularly advantageous in applications requiring precise and reliable detection of magnetic fields.
One of the key benefits of the magneto-resistive element is its exceptional sensitivity. It can detect even the faintest magnetic fields, making it approximately ten times more sensitive than traditional Hall elements. This heightened sensitivity translates into the ability to achieve larger switching distances, allowing for more flexible and adaptable sensor placement in various industrial settings. The enhanced detection range is particularly useful in environments where space constraints or safety considerations necessitate the placement of sensors at a greater distance from the target magnetic source.
